Final 15 Portrait Class
Artist Statement:
People have been challenged these last two years by Covid in many ways. Often people have been only in their own homes for long periods of time. I was interested to see if these experiences had impacted where people felt relaxed and or comfortable in “their space.”
I wanted to provide people with the opportunity to be photographed in their own space doing something of their choice or with something or someone of meaning to them. The people I photographed were welcoming and trusting of having me. All the participants brought something unique from their daily lives to these images. It is my hope the viewer can connect with these portraits in a way that they will consider where they find comfort, relaxation, and or peace in their space.
